IDEA campus energy student video contest:

The primary goal of the Campus Energy Student Video Contest is to enhance general awareness among students of how their institutions’ district energy systems and their operators provide a reliable, economic, efficient and environmentally sound means of heating, cooling and powering their campuses.

GRAND PRIZE The winning student submission will receive $500 plus paid airfare and lodging to attend IDEA’s CampusEnergy2017 conference in Miami, FL from Feb. 20-24, 2017; the Facilities or Utilities department will receive one free registration plus paid lodging to attend IDEA’s Annual Conference in Scottsdale, AZ from June 26-29, 2017; the College/University will receive recognition from IDEA for their commitment to environmentally sound energy.

Youth, Young Adult and Staff positions are open at Onondaga Earth Corps!

The summer program will hire young people age 15 to age 25 to to deliver environmental education programming and implement service projects in Syracuse City Parks, and litter clean up, beautification and community outreach along two commercial corridors in the City of Syracuse.

There will also be opportunities to earn scholarships through the Ameri*Corps program this summer working at boat docks, in urban forestry, urban agriculture, or maintaining Onondaga County’s green spaces that mitigate stormwater.
