Dome Composting Program

Pete's Giving Garden

Pete's Giving Garden hosts scheduled volunteer hours for students, faculty, and staff during the spring, summer, and fall semesters, dependent on the growing season. These hours are currently closed for the remainder of the fall semester, but opportunities are still available!  A garden winterization event is happening on October 15 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., hosted by the School of Design and Bee Campus USA. On October 20 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., Sustainability Management and InclusiveU are partnering to plant onions and garlic. All are welcome to join!

Campus Food Pantries

Syracuse University has two food pantries on campus, one on Main Campus in Hendricks Chapel and the other on South Campus in the Office of Sustainability Management. The food pantries are managed by Hendricks Chapel, with a strong partnership with Sustainability Management for the South Campus Food Pantry. Student volunteers are needed at both pantries throughout the year to help fellow students within the pantries, stock the shelves, take inventory of supplies, assist with Adopt-A-Month program, and help with donations when needed. Garden Composting Program

Bee Campus USA

In 2019, Syracuse University became the 70th Bee Campus USA, thus forming the Bee Campus USA committee here on campus. The committee consists of students, faculty, and staff members who organize events surrounding pollinator education, workshops, pollinator gardens, and much more.
